A Message from Armand Assante
(Actor, Director and Producer)

I have been a long supporter of the film 'Brooklyn Odyssey' and it's writer/director. It is a film that simply, must be made, and deserves to be made. It can be important to American Cinema, as well being successful in the market arena. It is a win-win for all who invest in it, as it is technically a small enough film that represents the best of what the Independent Film movement has to offer. The essence of why it is such an attractive project can be found in it's human values. 'Brooklyn Odyssey' by legendary American Theatre Director Tony Giordano,is a compelling right of passage story, concerning a young man's religious, moral, and emotional development amidst a wonderful eccentric family and neighborhood of funny, and tender people in Brooklyn in the fifties and today. The story is a beautifully rendered moral tale demonstrating how familial and communal love and devotion shapes our choices, and finally our accountability. More importantly to me, this simple story, is a major statement about the details within our educational system, and how our families and teachers are irrevocably linked and equally integral to our spiritual and moral development. And finally, after all is said and done in our lives, how we look back on those who shaped our destiny.
