The American Dream, the Musical

The American Dream Musical

Based on the famous Sacco and Vanzetti trial, this musical drama, adapted by Neil Proto and Tony Giordano, is an intimate portrayal of the relationship between Nicola and his wife, Rosina, and their effort, with Bartolemeo Vanezetti and other immigrants, to embrace the principles, the 'free idea' as they called it, that they believed America represented as they and others sought a better life in America.

Underlying the story, and the eloquent power of the music by Brussels composer Dirk Brosse, is a struggle over America's principle beliefs in freedom and individual dignity and fairness.

Below are some musical selections from the show…

Song Titles and Descriptions:

Song 1 – Tom Zemon and Jenn Morse vow their TRUE LOVE.

Song 2 – Jenn Morse begs the world to help them in PIETA.

Song 3 – Jimmy Demers and Company wonder why a POPPY cannot simply be a Poppy.

Song 4 – Prior to the executions Tom Flynn sings WE ARE NOT GUILTY. Sacco sings to his son, Dante, THERE IS A CASTLE, to plant ongoing love.

Please note that the songs were recorded with some static.
